The Writers
Amy Machnak
amy@fulcrum-magazine.com
Amy Machnak is a writer who grew up in the suburbs of Detroit. A pastry chef for almost a decade, she worked at some of the best restaurants in the country including Tribute in Michigan and Boulevard in San Francisco. She currently works as a food writer at Sunset Magazine. Besides being a professional food and wine snob, she writes for Fulcrum sharing personal stories about growing up with her older brother Alan, who was born with cerebral palsy and is deaf. She hopes to someday write a book about her numerous and sometimes hysterical experiences as the sibling of a very special person.
Lesley Seacrist
Associate Managing Editor
lesley@fulcrum-magazine.com
A recent graduate of the journalism program at San Francisco State University, Lesley spends one fourth of her time freelancing for various Bay Area publications and the other three fourths wearing a baseball cap sideways, like they did in the eighties. A life long learner, she aspires to inform the masses about issues they might not usually read about and make a mozzarella cheese in under an hour.
April Jones
april@fulcrum-magazine.com
April Jones is a freelance writer who lives in San Francisco. She can be found watching reruns of "The Golden Girls" and is keeping her fingers crossed that a movie deal will soon be in the works.
